Demand for plots of land in the UAE is growing every year. For example, in May 2023, land sales in the emirates increased by 233% compared to the previous year. Land is being purchased for various purposes, such as construction and development, as well as resale. Russian investors are actively entering the market. According to the report from real estate company Betterhomes, Russian property buyers in the UAE ranked third among all investors in the second quarter of 2023. It is worth noting that this report concerns the purchase of residential properties (apartments, villas), but the overall trend is clear. We will also examine the restrictions on buying land in the UAE for foreigners using the example of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
