Projects

  • Full legal support for the world’s largest commodity trader for chemical products, including preparation, support, and conclusion of monthly transactions up to $300 million. Opening bank accounts in the UAE and Mauritius.
  • Legal opinion on UAE tax law regarding the VAT exemption for a trading company based in the UAE that imported goods worth $120 million from Russia and unloaded them at the Mina Saqr Port, which is located in the Ras Al Khaimah Maritime City free zone. According to the UAE Government Resolution No. (59) of 2017, this free zone is classified as a special zone where unloading does not lead to VAT being levied, even in favor of mainland companies from the UAE.
  • Opening a trading company in the UAE for a large Russian holding company with more than 30,000 employees, with subsequent contractual arrangements for trading activities under UAE law.
  • Preparation of a legal opinion on the use of drilling waste, oil sludge, and waste disposal in accordance with UAE law for a Russian service company.
  • Consultation for a shareholder of a Russian polymer plant on opening a $10 million facility in the emirate of Sharjah.
  • Comprehensive legal support for a plant on corporate matters, including obtaining a license to extract iron ore under the law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Legal support for a deal to purchase Qatari diesel fuel worth $600 million under FOB (incoterms) rules, including preparation of purchase and sale agreements and coordination with the bank for transactions.
