UPPERCASE LEGAL business breakfast as part of the Russian International Arbitration Congress (RIAC)

During the panel discussion, participants talked about topical issues relating to the mutual recognition and enforcement of judicial and arbitral awards, as well as the development of the UAE arbitration system. Speakers shared practical case studies, discussed current challenges and opportunities in the industry, and answered questions from the audience.

The session was moderated by UPPERCASE LEGAL Managing Partner Alexander Kukuev and UPPERCASE LEGAL Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution Practice Sergey Levichev.

Guest speakers included Abdullah Baker (Regional Director Middle East & Eurasia Chambers of Commerce), Elena Torbeeva (Project Director of VTB DC), Mohamed Hafez (DIAC Special Counsel) and Arseniy Salamatov (Chief Legal Expert of Lukoil's International Legal Department, Lecturer of the Department of International Commercial Arbitration at St. Petersburg State University and Co-Chairman of the Arbitration Association).

The discussion was very engaging, and during the informal networking session, participants exchanged experiences and established new business connections. The atmosphere of open dialogue contributed to strengthening professional ties and exchanging practical recommendations.
